Black Eyed Peas Biography

With the singer Kim Hill, in 1998 they came out with an album entitled Behind the Front, that greeted hip-hop critics but did not reach a large  public. They cam back with a second album entitled  Bridging the Gap in 2000.

In 2003 Elephunk was releasedwith the singer Stacy Ferguson, rebaptized Fergie, ex-singer of the group Wild Orchid an TV Host for children Tv show et animatrice. This album sold six million examples and was a success due tue numerous collaborations from known artists such as Justin Timberlake, Travis Barker (the drummer of de punk-rock californian group Blink 182 and The Transplants), Jack Johnson and Jacoby Shaddix (The singer of Rock group Papa Roach).

June 7, 2005, the group release a fourth entitled Monkey Business before seprarting to have each their own solo career. In this album participent the singer Sting and James Brown participated. More than 10 000 000 copies of this album sold-out.

In 2006, Fergie released her first solo album, The Dutchess, while Will.I.Am his modest solo album (less than 10 million sold in France). Taboo released a duo version of the title « La Paga » yellow ; Fergie et Will.I.Am released the retaken song “True” of Spandau Ballet (music from the filmLove And Amesia of Peter Segal).

In 2007, the singer Will.I.Am declared on the  Billboard site a new album in preperation. This last one released in June 2009.

The first single of  The E.N.D (The Energy Never Dies) “Boom Boom Pow” released in march 2009 and came in the top classified, including Billboard Hot 100 (staying at the top for 10 consecutive weeks). The second release Imma Be was diffused on the internet May 18,  2009. Meanwhile, it was not released, but the second single was  I Gotta Feeling. In octobre 2009 appears on the french music channels a new title “Meet Me Halfway”, with an electro-sound. This one was such a success that after its release, every 10 seconds approximately, a radio station aired it. In February 2010, the clip for “Imma Be Rocking That Body”, a short film futurist that the music was a “fusion” of two titles on  The E.N.D: “Imma Be” et “Rock That Body”. The next exploited single will be  “Missing You” (for the moment in France). En 2009, The E.N.D sold more than  4,6 millions examples in the universe, in the end made it the third most sold album of the year.

Thus, their fifth album  The E.N.D released June 8, 2009 continues its exploitation, the Black Eyed Peas announced a new album to be released. At the last news, the group decided to not release tiltes in collaboration with Michael Jackson, with the scare of passing of as opportunist. The release of this album to be determined.

To be released in  2011, a documentary about the group`s career following their last tour will be produced by producer James Cameron. Black Eyed Peas 3D (provisionary title) benefits with real3D technology by dearing producer of Avatar. The announcement of this short film will be made July 2 2010 by americain journalists, Vibe.
