Jacynthe Millette-Bilodeau (born September 13, 1979) in Quebec City, Quebec is a Canadian pop singer who records as Jacynthe. She records material in English, French and Italian, and has had Top 40 hits on both the anglophone and francophone pop charts in Canada. She lives in Montreal. Jacynthe is best known amongst adults for starring, along with Anne-Marie Losique, in the Québécois version of the reality show The Simple Life, called La Vie Rurale.

In 2006 she toured with the Cirque du Soleil in their very first arena tour, Delirium. She left the show in May. She appears on the show’s album, which was released in June 2006. In 2011, Jacynthe released her fifth studio album, Dévoile qui tu es, her first in eight years. She is now in studio to record her follow up English album. In 2012, her song “Feel” featuring Victoria Duffield peaked at #1 on the Tops 25 Radio BDS Francophone.

Virgin Radio 96, Fresh Entertainment & Power2Gether (Canada’s newest anti-bullying movement), Presents Montreal’s first concert series for teens (12-17 years old). May 26, 2012 is now taking place at Le Rinque, located at 5832 Cote de Liesse.

Teens from different backgrounds will come together to fight against bullying through dance, music and celebration uniting them to have a good time! Among a line-up of stars there will be musical performances by Jacynthe (“Dévoile Qui Tu Es” & “Stereo”) & Victoria Duffield (“Shut Up & Dance” & “Feel”) between 8:30PM – 9:30PM, followed by an after-party from 9:30PM – 12AM (same location) with FRESH DJs spinning the hottest tracks!

Jacynthe Biography

Jacynthe has released four albums which have produced five number 1 hits in Quebec, five top-fourty successes in Canada including a Top-10 hit Canada-wide on CHR and Hot AC Radio with ”Look Who`s Crying Now”.

Jacynthe became one of the most recognized francophone/english pop-singers in the 1990s, singing partly french and english. On October 26, 1999, Entends-Tu Mon Coeur was released with BMG Canada Ltd. The same year, she was nominated for a JUNO “Dance Music Album of the Year,” award, CMA Award and the following year as “Female Artist of the Year” at Le Gala de l’ADISQ. Thanks to the English-language versions of songs like “Give It Up” (recorded with its original composer Harry Casey of KC & The Sunshine Band) and “One More Time,” she was noticed in both Toronto and Vancouver and fell into high-demand on the talk show and Canadian music station circuits (MuchMusic, YTV, City TV, etc.).

Furthermore in late 1999, Jacynthe released I Got What It Takes which included her hit singles remixed and released with Sony Music Canada. October 17, 2000, Jacynthe released a Christmas Album with BMG Canada Ltd., the title being 12 – 25.

Finally, September 30, 2003, Jacynthe released and english album Seize The Day with hits such as Look Who`s Crying Now, Need You Now, Seize The Day with Universal Music Group. She is currently working on releasing a fifth album April 26, 2011 and her first single Don`t Touch Those Faders is available to view and purchase at http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/jacynthe/id4317815.
